The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (UCP ORIC) at the University Of Central Punjab (UCP) organized the ORIC-FIPP (2026) Pre-Placement Meeting on 12th June 2026. The meeting participants included Industry Focal Persons from Pak Green Enviro Engineering Pvt. Limited and Webify Ventures, along with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Director ORIC, Dr. Faiza Anum, Research Associate ORIC, and nominated faculty members, primarily from the Faculty of Science & Technology – UCP (FOST), as well as other faculties, to foster effective academia–industry collaboration.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh introduced the FIPP program and highlighted its benefits for both the university and collaborating industries, while also noting that the suitability of faculty members for engagement with relevant industries under FIPP 2026 was assessed during the session. During the session, Mr. Farhan Amjad provided a brief introduction to Pak Green Enviro Engineering Pvt. Limited, highlighting its provision of sustainability and environmental engineering solutions, along with analytical laboratory services for business and public sectors both nationally and globally. He emphasized the company’s strong track record in delivering effective environmental solutions for businesses, government agencies, and organizations worldwide, and shared key industry expectations from academia. Mr. Muhammad Hasan Samee, CEO and Founder of Webify Ventures, shared valuable insights into the company’s ongoing initiatives, particularly in product development and digital innovation. He emphasized the importance of aligning academic research and skills with evolving market demands and highlighted opportunities for collaboration in emerging technology domains.
The meeting served as a platform for meaningful engagement between faculty and industry, aiming to strengthen linkages under the Faculty Industry Placement Program (FIPP).
