The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), University of Central Punjab (UCP), organized a workshop titled Practical Hands-On Training: Filing Your Income Tax Return on the Updated IRIS Portal on September 08, 2026. The session, led by Dr. Imran Shahzad, Chartered Accountant and Head of the Accounting and Finance Department, UCP, provided participants with live step by step training on navigating the updated IRIS system. It also offered practical insights into reconciling wealth statements accurately, computing tax liabilities correctly, and confidently filing annual Income Tax Returns.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Director ORIC, highlighted the importance of financial literacy and tax compliance for professionals and startup founders. Certificates were distributed among the participants. The workshop was coordinated by Malik Abdul Rahim, Research Associate, ORIC.
