Engr. Jalil Asghar Mirza is a seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in telecommunications, industrial automation, and engineering education. He holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering (Computer Engineering specialization) and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Communication) from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
Currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Central Punjab, he has taught and mentored students in a wide range of subjects including Industrial Electronics, Process Control, Digital Signal Processing, and Instrumentation. His academic leadership extends to project supervision, lab development, and research collaborations in IoT, Industry 4.0/5.0, energy optimization, and smart automation systems.
Prior to academia, Engr. Mirza held key leadership roles in the telecom sector, including General Manager Technical (Multinet Pakistan Pvt. Ltd.), Group GM (WorldCall Ltd.), and Head of Field Operations (Warid Telecom). He has successfully led national-scale projects in fiber optic network expansion, GSM backhauling, and energy-efficient infrastructure development.
As the Founder and CEO of Infra Informatics, he is driving innovation in IoT-based environmental monitoring, predictive maintenance, and smart industrial systems, with funded collaborations involving Queen Mary University London, Pakistan Railways, and Rescue 1122.
He has been a guest speaker at several workshops on IoT, PLC applications, renewable energy, and CNC development, and has published multiple research papers in international conferences and IEEE journals.
His contributions have been recognized with several awards, including the Performance Excellence Award and Organization Champion Award from Warid Telecom, and he holds professional memberships in PEC, IEEE (USA), and IEEEP.
