Shaista Anwar is an LL.M., working as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Central Punjab (UCP), where she also serves as the Faculty Industry Liaison Officer (FILO) and Managing Editor of the UCP Journal of Law and Legal Education. In her role as FILO, she has significantly enhanced the Faculty’s engagement with the legal profession by cultivating industry partnerships, facilitating student employment opportunities, and strengthening academia–industry linkages. Her teaching areas and research interests include Jurisprudence, International Law, Property Law, Logic and Reasoning, and Legal Education. Recently, she has developed a keen interest in Law and Society research and presented her work at the Law and Society in South Asia Workshop 2023. Ms. Anwar has developed a pragmatic and reflective teaching philosophy, refined through years of hands-on experience and continuous professional growth.
She has served as Chief Organiser & Conference Secretary for four consecutive UCP International Conferences organised by the Faculty of Law (2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025), contributing to academic coordination, research dissemination, and the Faculty’s international visibility. As Patron of the Study Circle at Punjab Law College, she established spaces for student-led research and critical dialogue by organizing seminars and discussion forums on diverse themes in law and politics. These experiences continue to inform her teaching and research practice. A certified Teaching Excellence Trainer at UCP, Ms. Anwar has conducted pedagogical training sessions for faculty across various departments. Committed to lifelong learning, she regularly participates in academic development workshops and has received professional training in International Humanitarian Law, Property Law, Constitutional Law, and Teaching and Research Methodologies, to mention a few.
