The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (UCP ORIC) at the University Of Central Punjab (UCP) held Interdisciplinary Research Group meetings to promote collaborative innovation dated on August 4th, 2026.
Dr. Salman Iqbal presented on Carbon Literacy for Business and Industry. He explained how environmental protection creates economic value through carbon credits earned via renewable energy and mangrove restorations. His talk briefly covered the Gold Standard Carbon Market Structure and project registration under the 2024 Carbon Market Policy Guidelines of Pakistan. He concluded by proposing the addition of carbon mechanics into university curricula.
The event also featured The Innovators Nexus group led by Dr. Rabia Tehseen. Her team focused on driving technological innovations, scientific advancements, and sustainable research applications through active industry collaboration.
Malik Abdul Rahim, Research Associate at ORIC, coordinated this collaborative platform. It serves to enhance the research impact of the university globally and locally.
