Interdisciplinary Research Group Meetings

The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Central Punjab (UCP) held Interdisciplinary Research Group meetings to promote collaborative innovation and knowledge integration. These meetings focused on advancing research in advanced biomedical formulations and healthcare solutions, aerospace, remote sensing, and satellite communication technologies, and sustainable research applications and industry collaboration.

The meetings prominently featured the Dermaceutical & Herbal Research Group (DHRG), led by Dr. Madiha Khan, and the Space Technology Research Group (STRG), led by Dr. Muhammad Kamran. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Director ORIC, briefly explained the core objectives of the meeting, emphasizing the integration of knowledge across diverse fields, and shared the closing remarks. Both team leads actively participated along with their respective group members from multiple research domains to explore multidisciplinary solutions and build stronger academic linkages within the university.

This meeting was coordinated by Malik Abdul Rahim, Research Associate (ORIC), and it served as a platform for enhancing UCP’s research impact in both local and international scientific communities.

UCP Delegation’s Visit to Punjab Safe Cities Authority

Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Director ORIC, and Dr. Muhammad Athar Siddiqui, Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences visited Punjab Safe Cities Authority along with faculty members, staff, and participants. The delegation received a briefing on the Authority’s integrated surveillance systems, emergency response mechanisms, and the use of technology and data analytics in public safety and urban management. Participants also toured key operational facilities and engaged with officials to gain insights into the practical application of technology in governance and service delivery while strengthening institutional linkages and experiential learning opportunities.
