ORIC UCP Organizes 3rd Cosmetics Formulation Workshop 2026 The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Central Punjab (UCP) organized a practical training workshop titled 3rd Cosmetics Formulation Workshop 2026 on October 21, 2026. Dr. Sadia Zulfiqar led the session to guide participants through the practical science of crafting herbal shampoo, organic conditioner, and rose butter lip balm using natural ingredients. She demonstrated volumizing shampoo formulations, essential oil blends for conditioners, and natural butter preparation. The training covered product testing, safe sourcing, and packaging tailored for small scale home based production.
At the closing, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh (Director ORIC) highlighted the significance of hands on product development and distributed certificates to the 76 participants. The workshop was managed by Malik Abdul Rahim, Research Associate, ORIC.

UCP Faculty members from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences attended the 8th Biennial Conference hosted at Indus Hospital, facilitated by the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), The conference, themed “Resilient Care, Sustainable Future: Bridging Climate Action and Patient-Centered Healthcare,” provided a platform for the UCP delegation to participate in discussions on the intersection of climate change, healthcare sustainability, and patient-centered care.

The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (UCP ORIC) in collaboration with the Learning Innovation Centre – UCP organized two professional development workshops under the Future Leaders Program. The training focused on self-awareness, purpose-driven leadership, and personal growth for university faculty and staff members.
The session titled My Vision and My Ultimate Purpose in Life took place on Thursday, 15 October 2026. Mr. Ahmad Waqar serves as the trainer and coach for both sessions.
The workshops offer a guided journey to discover personal clarity, direction, and long-term fulfillment. Participants explore their core values to align their daily actions with their professional goals. The training provides a structured roadmap to help attendees understand their ecosystem and take action. These sessions empower faculty and staff to develop a stronger leadership presence, practice values-based decision making, and lead with purpose.

The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (UCP ORIC) in collaboration with the Learning Innovation Centre – UCP successfully organized the second module of the Future Leaders Program, titled “My Personal Values,” following the initial session on Emotional Intelligence at University Of Central Punjab. The full-day training led by Mr. Ahmad Waqar, focused on guiding participants to identify the core principles, ethics, and fundamental values that define their authentic leadership style and drive sound decision making. Through reflective exercises and interactive discussions, participants examined how personal values shape professional integrity, influence team dynamics, and build resilience in leadership roles. The session enabled attendees to reflect on their guiding beliefs, align their personal ethics with organizational goals, and develop actionable strategies to lead authentically and effectively in both their professional responsibilities and personal lives.

The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (UCP ORIC), University Of Central Punjab (UCP), organized a faculty development session titled “From Research Idea to Published Paper: Practical Steps for Academic Writing and Journal Submission.”

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Director ORIC, welcomed the resource person and highlighted the importance of strengthening research writing and publication practices among faculty members. The session was delivered by Dr. Sikandar Ali Qalati, Associate Professor at Liaocheng University, China. Dr. Qalati provided practical guidance on developing research papers from identifying research gaps and structuring literature reviews to selecting appropriate methodologies, presenting results, choosing suitable journals, and responding effectively to reviewers. Dr. Hammad Naveed, Pro-Rector UCP, presented a souvenir to Dr. Sikandar Ali Qalati in recognition of his contribution as the resource person.

The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization in collaboration with the Learning Innovation Centre, University of Central Punjab organized a professional development workshop on Friday, 25 September 2026. The training focused on emotional intelligence and personal growth for university faculty and staff members.

Mr. Ahmad Waqar, an experienced behavioral development trainer and business leader, used his extensive corporate background to teach practical tools for understanding emotional triggers and improving self regulation. The workshop successfully helped attendees build emotional resilience, manage stress, and develop healthier interpersonal interactions across the campus community.
